The project integrated tight budget constraints with architectural and audio/visual/communication design criteria on a new building site. Multiple storm shelters were incorporated in the design to house the congregation in case of a critical storm event.

Description: Master Builder Associates worked closely with the Doniphan Economic Development Corporation to provide Architectural/Engineering and Construction Services. The building is a hybrid of construction types as dictated by building codes, construction budget and aesthetics. Its exterior design recalls vernacular architecture of the area along with making strong connections to the original downtown district character.

Description: Babel’s Barn is an 8,400 square foot building and an old Pennsylvanian barn of the 1800’s combination. The barn theme runs throughout the whole venue. The Penn. barn is used for the offices of Babel Agency with additional room for small receptions. The building gives the warm feeling of old fashion country. The barn wood interior blends the two area venues nicely as one unit. It is a hidden treasure in the heart of Nebraska. Babel’s Barn is unique in the aspect of using the venue as a combination of the “barn” and the reception area of the building or each area individually. It has a bar area made from the same wood as the Penn. barn. Babel’s Barn is used for many events such as weddings, receptions, graduations, meetings, reunions and tailgate parties.

Description: The Rock County Event Center is proposed to be built on the county fairgrounds in Bassett as a multipurpose building. The building program consists of having a large banquet hall seating for 300 and two smaller meeting/conference rooms plus dedicated administration space. It will also have a kitchen to serve both the banquet hall and the main lobby. The building is planning to be used during county fair but will be available for events year round for weddings, family get-togethers, high school dances and other community events.
